Military Students

Saint Peter's University is committed to recognizing and rewarding the incredible sacrifice of our nation’s military veterans. We understand the pursuit of higher education by active military and armed forces veterans can be a challenge for a variety of reasons, including financial cost and compatibility with the demanding and uncertain schedule commitments of military service. At Saint Peter's, we offer a variety of programs to ease these burdens.

As part of the Yellow Ribbon Program, veterans and their dependents may qualify for free or reduced tuition. Tuition reimbursement funds are available from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as part of the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill to those who’ve served in the armed forces after September 11, 2001. The amount of tuition funding from the VA depends on a veteran’s length of service since 9/11, but Saint Peter's has chosen to waive 100% of any leftover tuition costs for eligible students.

Also, as a Servicemembers Opportunity College designated by the VA, Saint Peter's University offers scheduling assistance to help veterans complete their higher education around the demands of military deployment or relocation due to orders. In fact, online learning is ideal for these situations, as classes can be taken from anywhere in the world with the scheduling flexibility of online coursework.
